Be sure to login using the same email and username that you used when creating your ad.

In the menu, click on “Account” and then on “Profile“. You then  will see a tab for “Listings“. Click on the listing to be brought to the listing details page where you will see two buttons, one to edit and the other to delete. 

To mark a property as a “favourite” you must be logged in or first create an account. Once logged in and once you have marked a property as favourite, you simply go the the menu and choose “Account” then “Profile” and there you will see a tab with your favourites. 

As this is a new site, we are offering free listings to build up our database of properties. Searching will always be free, but some time in the future we will be asking a very nominal fee for any ads placed on the site. All advertisers will have full access to all the features this site offers.

Yes, there are many rental sites available,such as kijiji, but you need to filter through all the other rentals.  With Room8, we recognized that with today’s housing shortages and high prices, more and more people are looking to share their property or rental to offset the rising costs.  We are strictly focused on Shared Accomodations.

This can happen for several reasons.  Perhaps you are in a new home that Google hasn’t found yet, or you have a rural address not recognized.  Be sure you enter ONLY the street name (no suite numbers) in the Address field and submit even with the error..  Often the system will find the location anyway.  Another open is to drag the pin to your address and set the location that way.  If none of these work, please reach out to us at support@room8.ca

The first most obvious answer is that there are simply no listings available in your city at this time. Keep in mind, when you search a city name, it will search all cities within a 100 kilometer range. 

Please check back often as we will be making an effort to advertise in first all the major centers in Canada. Hopefully from there, word of mouth will add more properties. 

This is to protect you against any spam. Tis simply means when this property owner registered, they were entered first into a pending status. We then check the listing to ensure its accuracy as best we can to ensure this is a legitimate listing.

After two months your advertisement will automatically expire and be removed from the website. This will ensure site visitors will always be looking at new content.  If your ad has expired and you haven’t had any results, please feel free to post again.
